Qur'aan Verse of the Day

'Arabic Text'

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ

'Transliteration'

Wa idh ta’adhdhana rabbukum la’in shakartum la’azeedannakum wa la’in kafartum inna ‘azaabi lashadeed

'English Translation'

"And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor], but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.’"

— (Surah Ibrahim 14:7)

Hadith of the Day

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"The one who does not thank people has not thanked Allaah."

— (Sunan Abu Dawood 4811)

Reflection

Gratitude (Shukr) is a key to unlocking more blessings in life.

When we acknowledge Allaah’s favors upon us, we attract even greater rewards.

Shukr is not just about words—it is shown through actions, humility, and using blessings in ways that please Allaah.

A grateful heart finds peace, contentment, and abundance.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ وَزِدْنِي مِنْ نِعَمِكَ

'Transliteration'

Allaahumma aj’alni mina ash-shaakireen wa zidni min ni’amika

'English Translation'

"O Allaah, make me among the grateful and increase me in Your blessings."

O Allaah, grant me a heart that constantly remembers Your favors and a tongue that always expresses gratitude.
